Original description

Hansson, C. 2011. Dentalion (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae: Entedoninae) a new genus from tropical America with eleven new species. Zootaxa, 2811:6-7.

Diagnosis

Scutellum with two pairs of setae, one anterior and one posterior pair; pronotum with a weak tranverse carina close to posterior margin; frontal suture reaches eyes in level with anterior margin of anterior ocellus; forewing costal cell ventrally with a sparse row of setae in apical ½. Similar to D. quadrifer and D. apon but with frontal suture reaching eyes in level with anterior margin of anterior ocellus, pronotum with a weak transverse carina close to posterior margin, distinct notauli in posterior 2/3, propodeal callus with seven setae.
